Are you a parent of a child who...
- was premature (35 weeks or less)
- was a multiple birth
- had developmental concerns identified during pregnancy or at birth
- has feeding concerns
- had a low birth weight
- has the potential to have a genetic disorder
and you are concerned or have questions about your child's development?
The Infant Growth & Development Clinic at George Jeffrey Children's Centre addresses identified problems, and provides education and expertise to families. This program is available to children from birth to 3 years of age who may be at risk of delay due to neonatal or birth history.
Our team of enthusiastic professionals provides a holistic perspective for families regarding various physical, social, emotional, and cognitive areas where children may be at risk of delay.
At each visit, children receive individualized developmental screening while parents are provided with support and information to enhance their child's progress.
Our team is comprised of infant development specialists including a pediatrician, occupational therapist, physiotherapist, speech-language pathologist, social worker, and you, the family.
If necessary, appropriate referrals for further intervention may be made.
