Our rural services team provides occupational therapy, physiotherapy, and speech-language pathology services for children aged birth to 19 years of age, or 21 if attending high school who reside in the District of Thunder Bay. Services are provided in a child’s home community or virtually and may involve consultation or direct intervention. Our team works with the family and other involved professionals, e.g. school personnel, support and respite workers, ABA Therapists, and/or medical professionals to support the client’s needs.

Other GJCC services provided to children in rural communities include School-Based Rehabilitation Services (rehab services addressing school needs), seating and mobility, feeding and swallowing, and augmentative and alternative communication.
